What is Fertomid 25?
Fertomid 25 mg contains an active ingredient called Clomiphene
Citrate. It is generally administered by oral route, it is available in tablet
Form. Fertomid 25 is used for treating female infertility and for

used for treatment of women infertility. Women who are incapable of
conceiving as their ovaries are not functioning properly and lead to

tablets are also used to treat male infertility.
How does Fertomid 25 work?
Fertomid tablets consist of
Clomiphene. It is a selective oestrogen receptor modulator and binds to
receptor of oestrogen in the brain control centre (hypothalamus) as a result it
inhibit the negative feedback action of oestrogen. In case of low oestrogen
levels the hypothalamus is stimulated to synthesize gonadotrophins which
releases two hormones from the pituitary gland (hormone control centre in the
brain) one is FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and second hormone is LH
(luteinizing hormone) which are vital for ovulation and proper functioning by
stimulating the egg follicle’s growth and maturation in the ovaries. When the follicle
matures fully it ruptures, releases the egg, which is result in ovulation
process. The mature ruptured follicle is called the corpus luteum and
synthesizes the progesterone hormone, which helps endometrium (lining of the
uterus) ripen ready for conceiving.

Dosage and direction
Fertomid
25 mg is administered to stimulate ovulation 50 mg 1 time a day at bedtime,

30 days) increase the dose to 150 mg / day or lengthen the course to 10 days.
